Emersen is alive, and it’s down to just me… Brett.
That’s cool though. EVERY record Emersen has ever released has been instrumentalists recording parts here and there, and then me spending tens of hours filling in the core of the songs, playing everything from piano, bass, and guitar, to drums, organ, melodica, Omnichord, and of course singing the leads.
Emersen will continue to release EPs and full-length records, with an EP due by the summer of 2012. I’m SO excited for the fans that are still curious to hear the new songs. You’re gonna love ‘em!
As far as the players, the “band”, on these new recordings… It’s going to be random San Diego musicians. And a lot of me :-). But all you’ll hear is “EMERSEN”…
